The Fenix HM65R-T V2 is built around a magnesium-alloy body — roughly 30% lighter than comparable aluminum housings — so it sits on your head without becoming the thing you're aware of at hour four. The two-way adjustable SPORT headband holds it steady on a trail run and loosens off for a slow walk back to camp.

Two beams, two jobs

A spot beam reaches up to 170 meters for picking a line in the dark; a warm-white flood covers the ground at your feet without the glare that cool white throws back at you in fog or dust. One lamp handles both the trail and the camp table.

Charges like everything else you carry

USB-C recharging brings it back to full in about three hours, and the included rechargeable 18650 battery runs up to 24 hours in its long-runtime mode. It also accepts CR123A cells, so a dead battery on a long trip isn't the end of the light.
